Minecraft Dungeons II guide

Treat Soul Corrupted drops as an enchantment budget

Updated September 7, 2026 · Based on announced systems and publisher previews · Releases September 29, 2026

In the Gamescom preview, applying enchantments through the Enchantsmith required a down payment from currency dropped by Soul Corrupted enemies. Treat those drops as an enchantment budget, then spend only when you have a keeper effect and item.

Soul Corrupted describes the enemies in the preview source; it does not give the payment an announced item name. The useful question is whether the payment helps a well-defined enchantment decision.

What the preview says

The August hands-on connects currency dropped by new Soul Corrupted enemies with the Enchantsmith's enchantment down payment. It does not provide a drop rate, farm route, color guide, or a formal name for the currency.

A preview relationship between enemies, payment, and enchantment effects.

Treat the payment as a budget

Save the payment when the next effect does not suit your current job or the item is likely to be replaced. Spend it when you can say why a library effect helps a keeper item. That is a practical limit even without a published cost table.

Use the right next decision

If the issue is equipment power or a built-in buff, move to the Blacksmith decision instead. The payment relationship belongs to the Enchantsmith path, not every improvement in the loadout.
