Minecraft Dungeons II guide
Wait for frame-rate tests before buying
If stable frame rate is a purchase requirement, wait for reproducible tests on your exact console and play mode before you buy. Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 are announced separately, but first-party material reviewed so far does not set FPS or resolution targets.
This is a buying decision, not a performance forecast. A useful test must name both the console generation and whether it is handheld or docked.

What is confirmed today
Minecraft Dungeons II is announced for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on September 29, 2026. The current first-party material does not provide an FPS target, resolution target, handheld result, docked result, cross-buy, or upgrade-path promise.
Use this default buying rule
Buy now if you are comfortable with the game on your chosen platform regardless of an unconfirmed performance number. Wait if your purchase depends on a particular frame rate or mode. This is the safer default because one device's result cannot stand in for the other device or play mode.
- Write down the console you own.
- Write down whether you mainly play handheld or docked.
- Wait for a test that names both of those conditions.
- Revisit the store listing after that result is available.
Finish the rest of the purchase check
Once performance is no longer the deciding unknown, compare your edition and decide how your party will play. Platform availability and a performance test answer different questions.
